Mountain shining on the Earth

Since I do not have a powerful camera that can capture the sight that my eyes can see, I am using imagery to describe the sight.

The sky has cleared finally
The stars shining in the sky
The snow covered M-mountain is shining on the earth
A white majestic thing standing below the sky

Snow fall again

This is the third winter storm that struck Socorro. The weather is very pleasant. It does not appear to be a storm. The snow is falling in flakes, which is decorating the grass. But, the snow that is falling on the concrete and roads is melting.
The sky painted the greenery with a white powdery substance
Just like someone splashed talcum powder on a mosaic floor
The roads are wet with an equally slippery chance
I like to gaze at the falling snow through the window

Rain Problems

I guess it is just one thing or the other. All these days I was peeving about the heat. Now that it rains regularly, I am getting annoyed by the lack of preparations to handle this climatic change. A heavy downpour causes flash flood concerns in many areas. Personally, I am affected as there is a leak in the ceiling of my office. Apparently, there is a leak in the gutter, which is very old. I was told that my office room and a classroom were affected by the hole in that gutter. I have covered all the computer equipments in my office room. Temporarily, the custodian has made some arrangements to save the carpet from getting molds. They promised to look into this early tomorrow morning.
Rain Rain
You are so fine
We love you, wait for you and all
Please don’t flood the roads, office et al.
Forgive us mortals
We don’t deserve your blessings

Independence Day

It was half past nine
We were walking past the line
Lying on the golf course
Amidst the dim ambience
The sky was covered with dark clouds
Threatening to send the crowd looking for covers
The band was playing
Slowly the sky started lighting
It was an amazing view
Even the clouds stopped raining and looked in awe

A Trip to the Airport

On the road
Going to the airport
Drizzling and snowing
Ebullient and full of action
Represented a nival region

It was dawn
No sunlight while going
Chatoyant while coming
Not sky-blue or Not leaf-green
Roads strewn with shades of black and white
Red, not because of sunlight
But, from taillights and streetlights
Rio Grande was splendid
Cannot afford to nictitate while on the road

Is this man-made or natural
Someone must have scumbled the margin
Is this Shangri la
What a beautiful day!

Shadow on the mountain

The thick dark clouds threatened to bring rain
But, all they could do was cast a shadow on M-mountain
In that process it created a beautiful scene
And the weather was cool, pleasant, and serene

Smell of Rain

I came home at 8:30pm. It seemed like the smell of rain. It was a gentle breeze. I opened all the windows in my apartment. I could smell the rain as I was sitting on the couch. It was nice when it was breeze. But, it became scary when the gentle breeze turned into fiendish wind. The windows started shattering. The light posts outside were shaking. The trash is strewn all over in the front lawn. Now, I had to close the windows. And that is the end of the smell of rain.
