Daytona 500

It was GM all the way.1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd position in the Daytona 500, the Nascar kickoff event. It was an important event for many American cars who wanted to desperately win against the first time competitor, Toyota.

Outside the car race, Toyota and GM are vying for the number 1 position in profits, there was a different kind of competition in the 500 mile superspeedway .

GM, in spite of its "flirtations" with Chrysler, won in the race with its Chevy line of cars. The "Toyota Way" or "Way Forward" Ford were not match to GM.
