Barber shop

Most barber shops that I have visited hold a signs like ‘No Politics’ (meaning, don't talk politics) or ‘No Credits.’ Yesterday, I saw the following notice at a barber shop.
If you are grouchy, irritable or mean, you will be charged $10.00.
I wonder who dares to be grumpy when a man is holding a weapon against ones head. Come on, I mean seriously, when a person is holding a sharp instrument like a knife, blade, scissors, or electric razor (in my case), who dares to be irritable. Personally, I wouldn’t even move my head during the course of a hair-cut unless the barber himself moves my head. I would rather indulge myself in a fulsome flatter rather than trying to me mean.

Apart from getting the perfunctory hair trim/cut, the barber shop offers local news as a perquisite. I go to Edward’s Barber Shop. Edward is a jovial person and has another barber to help him handle more customers. A good conversation is always free at Edward’s (This used to the sign until recently). For those customers who are bashful, the shop has a good collection of daily newspapers and latest magazines. If you are bored, you can talk to the other customers or Edward himself.

End of day

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day."
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

A month of Season Finales

May is a month of season finales. It all started with the final week of the semester. These days, Television programs are protean. I watched the final episodes of the season of Crossing Jordan, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: mother ship, ER, The Simpsons, and Family Guy. All of them were equally good. I am inclined to watch the next season of all these episodes, and become a couch potato. I became an ardent fan of Stewie, the infant, in Family Guy; oh, he is such an arrant kid

I complemented these programs with action movies like Mission Impossible and Mission Impossible II.
